Are you ready for a vocal challenge? Do you love the sound of groups like Pentatonix? How does each singer hold their own in close harmonies, even when the chords are dissonant? And how do they create the percussion sounds underneath all those harmonies?

This is a very advanced a cappella class with no accompaniment. We will dive into holding your own vocal part against other singers without the help of accompaniment. We'll explore a variety of musical styles while creating amazing, goosebump-inducing, hair-raising music together. If you want to level up your ability to hear and produce show-stopping harmonies, this is the class for you!

THIS CLASS REQUIRES AN AUDITION.

Please note: Upon registration, auditionees will receive a second registration email with additional information about the audition process. Auditionees will need to submit a 60–90 second a capella video audition within 5 days of registration. A decision will be made within 48 hours, and notification will be sent via email.

The class fee at the time of registration will be $1. If accepted into the class, a fee of $249 will be placed on your CYT account. This fee must be paid in full in order to attend the first night of classes.

Pam King

Pam King has been greatly involved in music since childhood, from playing violin to singing on stage and at church. Pam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Music Degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She and her husband Mckenneth toured throughout the country for thirteen years giving concerts in churches, retreats and conference centers. Pam and her husband have been directors of many shows both in community theater as well as church. Pam currently has her own private voice studio where she teaches forty students a week. Since coming off the road Pam and her husband have had a dream of starting a family oriented Christian based arts school and theater company. She is thrilled to have CYT in the Fredericksburg area and looks forward to many more productions. It is so much fun to watch the kids grow in their abilities and their confidence. Pam King was one of the founding members of CYT Fredericksburg in March of 2006. She feels so blessed to have been actively involved with the CYT family for the past 20 years.
