Teacher:

Katie Buzzard

Katie Buzzard has been teaching dance in the Fredericksburg area since 2005. Dance has been a constant in her life since the age of 4 and each year she finds that she loves it more than the year before! While most of her interest lies in ballet, she has also enjoyed dabbling in Tap, Clogging, Modern, a little Jazz and Hip Hop as well as Historical English Country Dancing. In years past, Katie has taught for Grace Center for the Arts, M&S Studio, The Dance Box, Paragon Training Center, and even partnered with CYT many years ago as a guest choreographer in 2007 and 2008 for Tom Sawyer, and The Wizard of Oz! Currently, Katie is running a dance program of her own using space in her church. Katie believes that art was created by God for God and that we, his masterpiece, should use our God-given talents in a way that points directly to Him. She is very excited to renew her ties with CYT after so many years and is eager to get to know this new generation of CYT kids and share her passion for the performing arts!
