Karina holds a Ph.D. in STEM and Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and brings more than a decade of experience in higher education. Since joining CYT in 2022, Karina has combined her passion for teaching with her love of the performing arts. She is certified in mixed-media design and painting and has served as Stage Manager for Godspell and High School Musical, as well as Assistant Stage Manager for Cinderella. She is also a member of the artistic team for CYT Summer Camps and other Fine Arts productions throughout the community. Known for her enthusiastic and engaging teaching style, Karina creates dynamic, high-energy classes filled with creative challenges, collaboration, and encouragement. She is passionate about helping every student build confidence, develop their skills, and discover the joy of performing.
