It's summertime and we are so excited to be bring summer camps back to CYT Fredericksburg! Thank you for being interested in working with CYT this summer. On this page you will find our interest in employment form along with additional information. Check out what positions we will be hiring this summer!

Camp Coordinator

The Camp Coordinator will monitor all check-in and check-out, lead counselor challenges, end of day announcements, and communicate to parents before the start of camp and throughout the week of camp, and help maintain our COVID policy. 

Expected Hours:
  • Full Day Camp - 8:30-3:30
  • Half Day - 8:30 - 12:30

Artistic Team

1/2 Day Camps
Half-Day camp showcases are 10-25 minutes in length. Only a Director will be hired as part of the Artistic Team for half day camps. The Director is still in charge of teaching choreography, music, and some acting. A script and music will be provided for the Director to pull from. 

Full Day Camps ONLY
The Artistic Team Is built of the three major components of musical theatre: the director, the choreographer, and the music director. Working as a team, you will put together a 30-45 minute show. You will be given a script, music tracks with voice, and performance tracks. Artistic Teams do have the liberty to cut out parts of the script if needed.

  • 1/2 Day Camp - 8:30-12:30
  • Full Day Camp - 8:30-3:30

Camp Counselor

The Camp Counselor will be the captain of a team of campers. The counselor is there to encourage, help, and play with all of the campers. Camp counselors can be seen as assistants to the artistic team. You will  help the kids learn and understand choreography, music, and even entrances and exits. If you love the arts and hanging out kids this is a great role for you!

  • Full Day Camp - 8:30-3:30
  • Half Day - 8:30 - 12:30
