Ellie is thrilled to be back at CYT as a dance instructor/choreographer after growing up in this organization herself. She performed in eleven main-stage CYT shows between 2009-2016 as well as countless other camps and showcases. She also spent her middle and high school years on a competitive dance team where she received intense training in technique, terminology, and the importance of storytelling through movement. She went on to earn her bachelors degree at VCU and is currently pursuing her masters while working at Mary Washington Hospital. After struggling to find joy and a purpose post-pandemic, she rediscovered her passion for dance through choreographing and teaching. Most recently, she choreographed High School Musical Jr at Aspire Christian Theatre, along with one of her personal favorites, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief. Exploring and creating with brilliant young minds is the most fulfilling thing she has experienced in her life. She wants to share this joy with her students, and encourage them to express themselves in new ways.
