Sarah is a firm believer that the arts are for all, regardless of age, ability, or background. She is a board certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and has her B.M. from Shenandoah Conservatory in Music Therapy with a concentration in Piano. She studied under Lithuanian pianist, Ieva Jokubaviciute (classical) and Dr. Robert Larson (jazz). Her favorite things to be a part of have always been ensembles and groups. Making music with others. Whether that was in conservatory choir in college under Robert Shafer, participating in local ensembles, gigs, or church groups, or as a facilitator in Music Therapy groups. “There is something special about being a part of a community.” Sarah currently is a mom and wife first, but secondly the program coordinator at STEP VA, a non-profit that serves individuals with disabilities in the arts.
