Do you feel stuck listening to the same songs or genre sometimes? Well, then this class is for you! In this class we will explore various different genres of music in a group setting. The class will be structured as part singing, part discussion. We will talk about the differences we hear and see in music and lyrics across different genres/decades, and share some of our favorites with each other. We will have a couple classes where we workshop solos/duets, and then collectively have 1-2 group songs we will perform and rehearse each week. Together, we will pick a few songs from different decades/genres and showcase them at the end of our class session. Come join us for a little bit of “This and That!”
Prerequisite: *This class is recommended for teens who have taken at least one CYT music class or chorus experience.*
