What is character development? How do I build a strong believable character? What is Stage Right? Where's Stage Left? These are some questions you might be asking yourself when it comes to acting on the stage. In, Taking Center Stage!, you will learn and understand the basics of acting. We will learn how to build a strong character through our 5 senses of sound, sight, taste, touch, and smell!  Along with that, we will play games to learn the directions of the stage and different types of acting and theatre. At the end of the course, we will perform a short play for your family and friends!

Anna Hansen

Anna has been involved with acting and theatre since her kindergarten days and has never tired of it since! After graduating from high school, she taught for CYT Fredericksburg from 2006 to 2007 and then moved to Harrisonburg to study theatre at Blue Ridge Community College. She has created and taught several theatre camps and directed Christmas plays at her church. She has also received professional training from a great program called Actors, Models, & Talent for Christ (AMTC) and studied with great acting teachers, mentors, and casting directors in New York. In recent years, she has been involved with stage theatre and film productions with Kingdom Bound Productions based in Maryland. Her husband, Patrick, and our two kids are happy to be settled back in the Fredericksburg area.
