Description

Join us this fall for Star Bucks! The Musical, this fall's CYT Lite production!
Santa is preparing for his annual trip around the world, led by Rudolph and the other reindeer. But wait - Rudolph is so stressed out that his nose will not shine. He needs a sabbatical! But who can take his place? Santa hosts a musical competition (aka "Dancing with the Stars") to find out who will have the chance to be the next Star Buck and lead the sleigh. 

Each class night will be a rehearsal, and auditions to determine roles will happen during the evening of the first class.
This will be a wonderful experience for those who are looking to grow as a performer, whether you are brand new to theater or have done many shows before! Come be a part of the fun as you shine on the stage singing, dancing, and acting!

This show will have extra rehearsals on November 7th and 21st from 6:00-8:00pm, and then tech week is November 28th-30th, from 5:00-8:00pm. There will be 3 performances total, on December 1st and 2nd. All extra rehearsals, tech week, and shows will be at the CYT Studio, 5024 Southpoint Parkway.

**Please note that this class will NOT have a final showcase. Instead, the 9th week will be an additional, regular rehearsal night of class.**

Andrew Middleton

Andrew graduated with a B.A. in Theater Acting and has also just finished his M. F. A. in Film Directing. He loves theater and has been so passionate about acting and storytelling. He loves comedy, interacting with other actors to create a dynamic scene, and directing actors to help them develop their characters.

Hailey Broyles

Hi, I’m Hailey and I am so excited to be returning to CYT as a teacher this year. I am a VCU graduate with a bachelors degree in music education and currently I am a music teacher in Spotsylvania County. I was a “CYT Kid” when I was younger and was involved in many of the productions they put on (my first being Tom Sawyer!). Music and theatre have been a passion of mine ever since and I am so excited to be sharing that love with my students.

Location Notes:

The Marshall School (Upper School) is located downstairs in a yellow brick building. The sign on the outside says "Chancellor Primary Care." Upon entering you will head downstairs.
