Description

Learn the basics of partner dancing to cut down on the awkwardness and feel confident! We’ll touch on the tenants of partner dancing etiquette to ensure both partners’ comfort, as well as different partnering styles. This will include, ballet, contemporary, waltzing, Latin dance, and movement for stage. Founded on the principles of the Viewpoints movement technique, this class will be not just for dancers, but actors who wish to become more comfortable in their bodies and hone into their scene partners for a more collaborative approach. *this is a dance class, but previous dance experience is not required*

Caitlin Fitzhugh

Caitlin grew up in Virginia Beach, attending the Governor's School of the Arts, Theatrix Productions, and Regent CAMP. She went to Old Dominion University for Theatre and Dance and married her best friend Austin Fitzhugh before accompanying him on his return to Fredericksburg. She has taught Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, and Musical Theatre styles and at Message in Motion dance program, Saint Patrick's Catholic School, Theatrix Productions, Avery Ballet Company, and now CYT Fredericksburg. She has dance captained and choreographed too many musicals to count.
