Class Description

So you can already sing like Sutton Foster, but can you DANCE like Sutton Foster? It's time for you to become the triple threat you were meant to be! In this class we will explore the foundations of musical theatre dance and it's origins. We'll spend each day discovering a new style included in the huge umbrella of Broadway dance and even learn some steps coined by famous Broadway choreographers like Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins. We'll even learn about some new ones like Andy Blankenbuehler, the choreographer for Hamilton. We'll also work a bit on music theory to learn harmony parts to blend together and learn how to act through song and dance to better serve the story. Get ready to stretch, condition, and dance your way to being a Broadway star!
