Class Description

This class is designed to help students understand and explore the basics of performing in musical theater including singing, dancing, and acting. We will focus on developing characters, improvisation, and vocal expression using scenes & songs from the beloved musical, The Lion King. Alyssa Bornschein

Honored to be teaching for her second session with the wonderful CYT family, Alyssa is a recent graduate of the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where she studied Choral/General Music Education. Before college, Alyssa performed in various musical productions with the Riverside Dinner Theater. She is now an elementary music teacher at Kyle R. Wilson Elementary School in Prince William County. Alyssa feels fortunate to have these opportunities to share her passion for music and theater with young people!
