Description

This fall, we will be learning about the many layers there are to musical theater and go through different styles of musicals each week. We will dive into musicals like Annie, Freaky Friday, the Sound of Music and more! Our showcase will feature songs from Matilda the Musical to perform our own story of being a kid and what it will be like to grow up.  In this class we will learn different styles of dance and how they relate to different music to better portray the story. We will also learn that our singing is not the only thing that we use to tell a story, and how to “step into the character” so every part of us from our face to our toes conveys what we are trying to say. Join our class to find out the Mischief and Magic that goes into musical theater! We hope to see you there!

Gabriella Ensign

As a former dancer, nanny, hairdresser, naval servicemember, and more, I am what you would call a "jack of all trades". All of that considered, the arts are my passion. I am very passionate about all things dance and music. I was a dancer for most of my life and I love helping other people learn and explore all that the arts can offer. More than that, I love working with kids and seeing the excitement they have for life. It inspires me to always look for the bright side and never stop using my imagination.
