Having trouble holding your part during rehearsals? Have you been struggling to understand some of the terms that your choir or music director uses when teaching ensemble numbers? This class will introduce students to the tools and skills they will need to best support and enhance their sound as part of an ensemble. First, we will focus on creating and sustaining a sound that blends well with other voices. Then we will work to build the skill of listening so that each student can hear both their own voice part and the other voice parts with which they are singing. The tunes we’ll sing here will give students and opportunity to move and groove with some of the most energetic and impactful numbers from musical theater.
