Description

The stage manager's role is a unique combination of organization, communication, problem solving, and the ability to stay cool under pressure. In this class we'll go over the process of stage management from hiring and auditions all the way to calling and close. Students will get the opportunity to hone leadership skills, develop communication tools, build a prompt book, and organize and call their own mini shows. Overall, this class will establish the tools to take on one of the most demanding, stressful, and rewarding roles in the theater.

Brittany Walters

Brittany graduated with a BA in Theatre from Bluefield College. Since graduating, she has been active in the theatre community of Frederiscksburg; working with the Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble, Caroline Community Theatre, Riverside, and of course Christian Youth Theatre. When she is not stage managing with CYT she is a weekend DJ for B101.5 and the Drama Teacher at Fredericksburg Christian School.
