Description

What do you do when you get onstage…and you can’t remember anything? How do you cover up a mistake onstage? What if someone forgets a line and your scene is stuck? In Impulses & Improvisation, we will do more than give you the tools to answer these questions. We will explore the foundations of improvisation and why it is such a vital skill for an actor while also practicing and honing the skills needed for any successful performer - listening and truth telling. And we may play a few games along the way ;)

**Must have a willingness to be free and open and as every class will be movement based and lead us somewhere new, please come prepared in CYT appropriate clothing that allows a free range of movement.**

Kelly Hayes

Kelly counts herself blessed to have been able to pursue a career doing the things she loves, having earned her degrees in English, Theatre, and Education, and having used them as a teacher in King George and Stafford County. She also works with Good Mischief Makers and as a Kids Coordinator for Horizons Church. Kelly loves spending time outdoors (preferrably near water or in it), reading, playing video games, gardening, and singing and dancing in the kitchen. She counts herself blessed to have found CYT and takes great joy in helping develop the love of performing in others while encouraging them in their walk with Christ.
