This fall, we will explore what it means to be a dancer and bring it back to the basics of emotion and technique. Dance Technique and Stage Presence is a class where we will learn just how important technique is in dance and how it brings a good dancer to a great dancer. We will also learn how to feel the music in our body to connect with the song to further our storytelling abilities. In this class we will have very simple lessons that have a very huge impact on your stage presence. We will explore different styles of music and try to determine how we as dancers can connect to the song to tell a story using our emotions and full body (even your breathing!). Whether you have a pair of pointe shoes or have only danced in your kitchen, this class will further your understanding of what dance means to you and how you can not only be on the stage but absolutely shine on it.
