Class Description

Did you know there is a technique to choreography and being a choreographer? In Choreography 101 we will begin to dive into the art of choreography by learning the different devices that are aids to creating your own work. Choreography isn’t just something you do, there has to be purpose and meaning behind each planned movement. Doing eighteen pirouettes into a side ariel tells me nothing about you as the choreographer or as a dancer. Dig deeper with me to find meaning in your movements and take the first steps in discovering who YOU are as a choreographer. You will get to use these tools to choreograph your own solo and perform it at the final showcase.

*Please note:
~This class may meet on Tuesday, September 3rd, and NOT on Tuesday, October 15th, due to scheduling conflicts with the venue. (This is different than the other class locations, who will have the week of Labor Day off.)
~The showcase date has not yet been confirmed for this class, but will probably be held on Wednesday, October 23rd, most likely at FA.*
