In this class, we will explore the exciting task of preparing for an audition. We will uncover what will make you stand out in auditions, especially in regards to your voice! Through studying different styles of songs and characters found in various shows, we will find what suits you to be able to shine confidently in an audition! Such topics like "what's the difference between an uptempo song and ballad," warming up properly, knowing your vocal range, and character types ( especially in regard to songs) will be covered. So if you're ready to have lots of fun and sing some awesome songs, then you won't want to miss class!

Elizabeth Shofi

Performing and making others smile has always been Elizabeth's passion. Graduating from James Madison University with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Theatre and a Minor in Theatre, she went on to work at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios Florida for a few years. After performing and working in the happiest place on earth, she went on to study Acting and Shakespeare in London, England at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Something that particularly excites her about the performing arts, is the use of the Voice. Whether singing or speaking, the actor gives life to characters, stories, and lessons. She loves exploring how each student/actor's unique voice can really showcase their talents and abilities. Elizabeth firmly believes that Theatre has the power to be a positive influence for kids of all ages, and being taught with Christian values is all the more empowering.
