Class Description

Have you ever wondered how to put voices to a cartoon? In Cartooning Around, we will get into "funny-bone" mode by creating character voices and creating a cartoon to understand how voice can be a tool for character development. Through fun games and activities, we will open up our imaginations to different volumes, pitches, tones, and practice vocal clarity to create different characters. With your amazing storytelling skills and crazy voices we will bring your visions to life! We will also learn the basic foundations of theatre and acting on stage. Bring your laughter, imaginations, and your silliness to this fun-filled evening!

Anna Hansen

Theatre has been a part of my whole life from Kindergarten to present. I grew up in Spotsylvania and moved to Harrisonburg to attend the theatre classes at Blue Ridge Community College. My husband, Patrick and I continued to live in Harrisonburg for several years as I started to teach theatre classes at the community college. I also started directing the Christmas plays at my church. Along with our two kids, we felt led to move to Culpeper to be closer to family. I continued to direct the Christmas plays at our new church and also became involved with a wonderful program called Actors, Models, & Talent for Christ (AMTC). It was an incredible experience and has led me to continue my acting with Kingdom Bound Productions. We have recently moved back to the Fredericksburg area and are ready for more great adventures in our new home.
