The goal of HYPE is to challenge and grow the high school students of CYT to be leaders in and outside of CYT, and get involved by serving the community around them. To look at all aspects of theater, not just from the actor’s point of view. And to continue to grow as an individual, committing themselves to excellence in all they do.
Each Spring, HYPE welcomes new High School students (ages 14-18) to apply for the following school year beginning in August. Students involved in HYPE will participate in on-going service projects, CYT mentoring, and organizing/planning special events. HYPE will also promote spiritual growth in students at their meetings through devotions, prayer and worship. HYPE is an excellent way for students to learn to use their God-given gifts to serve the community inside and outside of CYT!

My name is Lauren Leupold, and I am the current president of HYPE. I am so excited you are considering applying for this wonderful program. I have been in HYPE for three years, and it has been one of the biggest learning experiences of my life. HYPE has given me the opportunity to grow in leadership, serve my community, and work with my friends at CYT. I hope you will take advantage of this tremendous opportunity and apply. This application must be submitted and accompanied by a signed "Commitment Contract", found on the last page of the application.
