 Mariah Beachboard - Teacher

 Mariah Beachboard, mother of three, studied theatre at the University of Mary Washington. In that time she apprenticed with the Fredericksburg Theatre Company, toured with an acting troupe in Turkey, and co-produced a student film. After graduation, she performed with Theatre IV and the Carpenter Science Theatre Company. While starting a family she taught dance, acting, yoga, and musical theatre at the Performance Place. This is her seventh session with CYT.

 DENISE DOVEL - Teacher

 Denise is a singer/songwriter Christian artist with an infectious passion for imparting godly character and excellence in performance.  With a history of concert ministry and worship leading for almost 20 years, Denise is familiar with and enjoys the art of communicating effectively with an audience.  Denise has had radio play for her music and performed on television and has also attended many vocal and performance seminars, as well as songwriting and artist courses.... Read More

 Samantha Graves - Teacher

 Samantha Graves has choreographed five CYT productions. Although she is only eighteen years old Sam had grown up in the theater. She has studied dance, voice and piano for twelve years and is the recipient of numerous local and national awards in voice and dance competitions including a triple threat winner at Access Broadway. Over the past two seasons she has served as resident choreographer at the Riverside Children’ Theater.

 Candace Johnson - Teacher

Hi, my name is Candace Johnson. I have been acting since I was about 7 years old but I love all aspects of theater. I graduated the University of Mary Washington in the summer of '08 with my bachelor's in theater. And I am very happy to be working with the kids through CYT.

 Lola Mcdonald - Teacher

 Lola McDonald has more than 15 years hands-on experience in Christian Drama, most currently with Grace Center for the Arts’ “Acts of Grace” and also with past CYT classes. She has performed, written, and directed youth and adult drama, musical drama, sketches, and skits. Lola’s love for music and drama is only exceeded by her love for the Lord.  Rae Moriarty - Teacher

 Rae discovered her love for photography while earning a degree in fine art from Southeastern Louisiana University. After traveling the world, touring the very art museums she had studied in college, she decided to combine her love for art and photography into her career.

Rae attends national conferences, and has traveled internationally to study with some of the most well-known industry leaders in the field of photography. In 2006, she was asked to serve as Governor for the Northern District and on the Board of Directors of the VPPA.

 Linda Schueler - Teacher

 Linda Schueler began dancing at the age of five and cannot remember a time when she did not want to dance.  She studied ballet and performance for twelve years with the Rockville Civic Ballet, while growing up in Maryland.

 Careen Stanley - Teacher

 Careen graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in choral music. A music minister for many years, she enjoyed directing choirs of adults, teens and children as well as teaching private piano lessons. After becoming involved with CYT in San Diego, she relocated to the Fredericksburg area with her family, where they were glad to find CYT ready and waiting.
